Large, pure-white flowers appear amongst the lobed green leaves over several months from late summer, adding a much needed shot of colour to the garden. It makes a stunning addition to the mixed or shrub border where it will help extend the season of interest well into autumn, and it could also be grown in a large pot and placed on a sunny patio.
- Garden care: To encourage a bushy habit prune young plants hard in late spring. After pruning apply a generous 5-7cm mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant. Once established it requires little if any regular pruning.
