Producing its star-shaped flowers in abundance, and over a long period in summer, this new clematis will look great in a large pot. Alternatively, as it’s fast-growing, you can use it to provide summer cover on an ugly wall or fence. The flowers themselves have a satiny texture to their petals, which are mainly white, but often with a pink or purple blush.
- Garden care: In early spring cut back the previous year’s stems to a pair of strong buds about 15-20cm (6-8in) above ground level and apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the plant, avoiding the immediate crown.
- Humans: Skin irritant; Pets: Harmful if eaten
